About this listen

Some say the Hotel Tempesta is cursed, but its owner, Mr. Gallo, refuses to believe it. When he's brutally murdered one night, the suspicion falls on his guests. Ten suspects in total. And Penny Green is one of them.

Does Mr Gallo's murder have anything to do with the criminal mastermind on the run from America? Penny and Inspector James Blakely must negotiate a world of courtesans, stolen paintings, and secret codes to prove Penny's innocence and uncover the truth.

I love this series. LOVE it. However this particular story is not nearly as interesting as the previous ones. I'm not finished yet and I'm struggling. But the worst part is the narrators attempt at an American accent. All her other narration is perfectly fine but that accent is so bad it's making me not want to finish.

Not the Best

Gullible, incompetent, slow-witted and foolish detectives. The mystery is how they could possibly have solved any crime.

The narration is like listening to a child's reading lesson. All the emphasis is in the wrong place and <pause> there are hesitations in inappropriate parts of the sentence which <pause> should not be there.

Poor example of this kind of literature
