Summary

The heart is exquisite.

You’ll never hear anyone wax poetic over an organ quite like they do the heart. When you’re lost in the world? Follow your heart.

When your love for someone is unwavering, unparalleled and unprecedented? You give them your heart.

As a lead pediatric cardiac surgeon, I knew better than anyone that the heart is equally as powerful as it is delicate.

The heart giveth just as easily as it taketh away.

And until the day Kelly Potter darkened my doorway that was all just part of the job.

She rolled in like a slow evening storm, fierce and beautiful, fighting for the life of her unborn child.

It should have been business as usual.

I was a doctor.

Her child the patient.

But Kelly was more.

She was the one who got away.

I wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.

It didn’t matter what the rules were.

For once, I was listening to my heart.

Good writing but the plot could be improved in places

I considered giving this three stars because of some of the drama/angst situations in the plot which could have been so much better, but the writing is really good and there’s plenty to get emotionally invested in so I stuck with 4 stars. I’ll get more from this author for sure, but hope they think about the plot to make it as strong as possible because they could easily have solid 5 star books if they did.

An imperfect heart was perfect...

This book was so worth the wait. I've read all three now and this was a perfect ending. Such a heart felt story line of one of the hardest things parents go through told with amazing study and thoughtful wording. Amie thanks for teaching me something new in your beautiful story. Just click it... you will enjoy it. I sure did. Erin and Noah were great.

Great read!

First off, so great to revisit Ainsley and Maranda's crazy and hilarious personalities.
This was the best of the series to me. I knew Kelley and Doc's story would be phenomenal. The maturity, devotion, and generosity of Doc's heart, made me fall in love. Kelley is the right woman for him, and he is the right man for her. Kelley is strong and courageous. the love they share for baby Hope is admirable! Never give up Hope!

Great narrators; childish main characters

I loved the narrators and even some elements of the story concerning emotion. What I did not love was the main characters. They are two people in their mid thirties and you’d expect them to grow up and actually discuss their feelings with each other instead of pulling away from one another and basically giving a “you know why” as the reason because That’s for people in their early twenties. These characters should have been well passed those behaviors. They were two very immature people who honestly deserved each other.

An engaging love story

Amie Knight tells a sweet and engaging love story. She paints a picture of each moment that it makes it really easy to follow along in the audio. The dialogue is good and at times quite witty. I particularly enjoyed the first meeting between the two main characters 😊

It’s a fun listen and if you are fan of sweet love stories, you will enjoy this one.

The Heart Has It!

A great story, a few surprises along with a pretty predictable story-line but getting to the end was great fun! A little raunchy language, sexually laced, … great listen!

A perfect story

Another roller coast ride of emotions that will tug at your heart strings.
This story has a little bit of everything.
Emotion, sexy times, super cute moments and some laugh out ones too.
The two moms together are a riot.

I adore all the nicknames Doc has for Kelly, and Doc's capacity for love.
It was a great book.
