Summary

Escape to the seaside with this gorgeous new series from the Sunday Times best-selling author—perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley and Heidi Swain.

Rose Vernon is headed to a quiet Cornish village—to find the man who saved her life.

For Rose, every day is a gift. She narrowly survived a life-threatening illness and owes everything to her anonymous donor. Determined to thank him, Rose follows a trail of clues that lead her to the little Cornish fishing village of Falford.

But things become complicated when Rose is drawn into local life, becoming involved in the legendary Falford Regatta and meeting the handsome Morvah brothers—one of whom might just be the man she’s looking for. But which one?

Can Rose find the answer she’s searching for, or will she lose her heart before the summer is over?

Couldn’t finish it

Started with so much hope and was quite gripping but just failed every chapter. Couldn’t finish it. Boring and dull

Bit boring but OK

DNF, but not because it's so terrible, got through 80% after all. Just found something a bit more interesting. Believe me, I'd listen to and read any old rubbish sometimes and this one doesn't qualify as the worst thing I've spent a credit on this year, by any means.

Its just lacking something is all. Liked the narrator though!

Enjoyable listen

I loved this book from beginning to end and have just started to listen again. I didn’t get bored at any stage and as I live in this part of the world can say I know characters like the ones on the story.

Please write another quickly……..

This book is amazing

I loved this book from start to ending, the characters are great and likeable and throughout the book you are immersed in their lives and I just didn’t want the book to end. I have red and listen to many of Phillipa Ashley and this book did not disappoint I cannot wait for the Christmas book as I believe we will be back in Falford and catching up on the characters from this book. I would recommend this book to anyone wanted a feel good read, where you can lose yourself in a book.

Another winner in the Cornish Romance stakes

Once again Philippa Ashley delivers a great summer read. The perfect combination of escapist romance with its feet firmly based in reality, making it all the more readable. When you have finished, you realise you’ve learned things about Cornish mysteries and boat building you never knew, and the clever back story (no spoilers) makes you think hard about real life. And as always there is a lovely epilogue to tie the ends up very neatly. Excellent narration by Laura Kirman keeps the narrative flowing well.
An author at the top of her game.
