Couldn’t finish

The story seemed interesting. Lauraine Snelling is one of my favorite authors but I simply could not listen to the narrator another minute. Her voice has a pleasant tone however she reads slow and breathy.

Romance and settling the west!

love the story based I on Christain values and a town where people care for each other. portrayal and descriptions of blizzard conditions and dangers frouniersman face are vivid and I found myself pulled into the story. the only problem I had was in performance. somehow voices didnt seem to fit characters. the WORSE thing is, this book was obviously compiled from cassette recordings and some instructions about fast forwarding and changing cassettes were not edited out and remain. I found them annoying and a. unwelcome intrusion in the story.

Very slow and not much action

This moved really slow and did not hold my interest. All of the books in this series could have been done in one and been great.

Great time period story

I liked that this book is sprinkled with genuine prayers. I intend to listen again and write them down for my own worship.
