I feel like “chick lit” books often fall victim to overused tropes and mediocre writing, but I was immediately struck by how well this writer can pull her readers into each scene with her visuals. The characters are so finely drawn, and the story so well-crafted, I really found myself experiencing all the same push and pull that the main character does. I fell headfirst into this story, and couldn’t stop listening until it was done! Highly recommend!
