About this listen

They’re on enemy sides, and he’s determined to win the battle for her heart....

After being rejected by her fated mate, Luna knows better than to trust her heart. Now Remus, the alpha of a rival clan, is making a move for her affections.

Luna knows their attraction is dangerous. But when Remus reveals that her mother, who she thought was long dead, is still alive, she decides to risk going with Remus to his territory in search of answers.

In Texas, she discovers an entire family that she never knew about. Although not everyone is happy about the mother-daughter reunion, and Luna is treated with suspicion. Once again, she feels like an outcast, especially when Remus is under increasing pressure to distance himself from her and search for his mate.

Taking his eyes off the enemy proves to be a mistake, and he learns too late that rivals exist where he least expected. Leaving Luna caught directly in the middle....

Another great addition to the series. In this book, Luna and Remes decide to go to Texas so he can return home to his pack and she can meet a family she never had. They have to face some bumps along the way, there's a lot of drama and some betrayal from people they're close to. I was not a fan of Remes mother but I do come to love her as she progresses through the story. I was so happy Luna found the family she deserved after the way her father and stepfamily treated her.

It seems all the female characters (except for Talla) in this story are either “stupid doormats” or “raging bitches.” To be honest, Talla is my favourite so far. Talla is a badass and a genuinely nice person. She is the only woman in this book that is not a “stupid doormat” like Luna and apparently how Josey used to be 🙄. Talla is also not a “raging bitch” like Fiona, Luna’s stepmom & stepsisters, Marnet’s mom & sister, and it seems the females in Josey’s family. Book 2 and it seems most of the females characters lack any redeeming qualities. As they say, “in for a penny, in for pound” might as well just finish the story. Oh well, on to Book 3.

Still not impressed
