Absolutely loved the story and the narrators, well written and the characters were engaging and well rounded. Found the story likeable and realistic and a bonus it was about people I could relate to.

Despite getting this title to read before Christmas, a free title in the Plus Catalogue, I was a bit wary of listening to it, it sounded contrived…

However, it wasn’t!

It’s a very engaging and relatable tale of an unexpected spark of interest, intrigue and interaction. An adorable kid and a sensible involved father.

Plus a cranky old patient! Woven together into a heartwarming Christmas tale. I’m happy that I did eventually listen to it, it has all of the “feels” for the season.

Well narrated by the dual actors.

This bought back memories of time spent with colleagues trying to decorate our workplace for Christmas. Add in caring for patients, one of them being especially awkward, new staff and single parent and you get a chance to escape real life for a while and step into a cosy romance.
