Good holiday read

Enjoyed this book. I did guess one of the twists . I like Jane Shemilt. She writes well and her books are engaging . Liked the narration too.
It's a really good holiday read.

Listened in one sitting (almost)!

I enjoyed this book immensely! This story is gripping from first to last page, with a great plot. The story oscillates between two periods in time which I would normally struggle to keep up with , however , not so with this one. Each chapter ends on a “ cliff hanger” with the following chapter being in either the present or past and I found myself galloping through the next chapter which would also end on a cliff hanger in order to carry on from the previous cliff hanger. Very clever of the author to tell the story in this way.

Absolutely brilliant, such a good twist!! Really good narrator, well read and easy to listen too
