I loved the narration from Mikaela Del Rey

Devon is a man who has had a tough start to life. Who is a stand-up guy, that is doing everything in his power to make his life better. His mother is in prison, and he cannot understand why Sara, who has grown up with a wealthy, loving and caring family, wants to be his girlfriend.

Devon Reed hasn’t had it easy but his girlfriend’s father has helped him out. Now he just has to get his family situation sorted. Sara encourages him to reconcile with his mother who is in jail. This is a touching story and I had empathy for Devon’s situation with his mother. There is a bit of a cliffhanger because we don’t learn what happens with his mother’s situation. I hope we learn more in a future book.
