It is a gentle, soothing read. I listened to the audio version of this book and found the narrators voice to be a perfect fit for it.

Beautiful and clear, both in writing and narration, it is a structured and engaging description of how to build a practice within animistic witchcraft from scratch, even with little or no experience of witchcraft or animism. It has enough academic language to enable serious study, but doesn’t get bogged down in jargon. It also acknowledges neurodiversity, disability and the marginalised
As an animist “witch” who has built their own practice, led directly by Spirit, I found this book immensely validating - everything that I would tell an aspiring animist is in here, but clearly structured as a set of practical principles and lessons… there is plenty in this book to give even an old hand like me fresh avenues of study and practice. New tricks for an old dog, as it were.
I’m about to buy the print edition, in order to apply some of the lessons in my own practice.
