Summary

Rafe Duncan has been working his family’s compound for years in the event of a global catastrophe - and doomsday has finally arrived.

Both he and Charlie Brewer work at a facility where secret government experiments are carried out, experiments that are classified even to them. Then the plague breaks loose, and hell arrives on Earth.

Rafe and Charlie must band together to stay alive in a world where flesh-eating zombies hunt humankind. But the plague victims aren’t the worst thing Rafe and Charlie have to worry about. Government radicals are devoted to silencing the last witness to the cause of the plague by killing everyone who worked in that facility - including Rafe and Charlie.

Rafe must do everything he can to keep Charlie hidden. But the chances of them surviving in the wild alone are slim... especially while being tracked down by American mercenaries.

Only the strong will remain. To outlast the plague, they must stay alive.

Another Stomper!!!

I’m really enjoying this saga. I love the family. They're a great set of characters. Courtney Konstantin is a great weaver of tall tales that tantalize the ears! Tess Irodale is doing a great all round sterling performance on these books. I’m doing one per day atm.... I'll need a new one finishes in the next 24hrs.
Great job ladies!!! 5☆'s!!!

Tied in all 3 books

I really enjoyed this book. After listening to the first two books from the sisters perspective I was excited to listen to this third in the series from the brothers perspective. I will stress that you have to listen to the first two before diving into this one, as this book ties in everything thats been going on and explains why Max went threw everything she went threw in book 2. Me being someone who has my own vegetable garden and loves camping and the outdoors, it really drives home that we should be prepared for anything, especially with the the political climate of recent.
My only critique would be how they kill soooo many soldiers, but none of the main characters die. It makes it as tho the soldiers are all incredibly dumb, untrained, have no aim whatsoever, and are straight up cowardly. While the main characters all have the best aim on the planet and are trained killers unfazed my soldiers and kill them at will. That was a bit unrealistic to me (Yes I said unrealistic while talking about a zombie book). Other than that this book was great. I loved how the book explains the origin of the virus, patient zero! I just dont understand why they keep going back to the compound! Its like "Yo, they will looking for you at the compound and sending soldiers there, why not just leave?"

I love the sundown series, and I can wait for more. I wish my family was more prepared like the Duncan‘s. Someday...

Not good

So I've noticed a lot of similarities that this writer uses from the show or comic, the walking dead. She calls them walkers on occasions, and many characters resemble character from that. not very original.

A MUST LISTEN!

Courtney Konstantin has one hell of an imagination. Not only has she shown the beginning of the zompocalypse, but she has written characters that you want to care about. The characters feel real, and nothing like killers you would imagine. I just love the feeling of family you get when you listen to this series.

Good series

This series reminds me a lot of the End of the World series by Sara Fleming. Those books are better. I find myself going through the motions, so to speak, to finish these books. I like the characters, but the world she creates is lackluster in its description. It’s unfortunate. I do love a great post apocalyptic series with characters I can spend time with.

Enthralling

Honestly, i don't know why I'm surpised at this point. I wasn't thrilled to leave book, I assumed it was going to be a new face on the same story and was so pleasantly surpised when it was it's own unique story. Which makes me wonder why I assumed anything less from this book, yet some how i was blown away again. I can't speak highly enough of the author and the narrator.

The man who beat up Superman.

The story really loses any sense of suspense when the main character is basically the most powerful being in existence. No matter what the struggle he can solve it in seconds.

Great book but not as action packed as the first two in the series. I cannot wait to read the next in the series!!
