About this listen

Alibaba's Magic Jug is a story of a magic genie. He appears to those less fortunate and offers wishes to local children. Most children make the usual choice with their wish: food, treats, games. However, to the surprise of this genie, not all children want the obvious thing. This leads to one child making a very unexpected wish. One that catches this genie off-guard and one wish that he cannot fulfill. This is a short, rhyming story centered around the importance of family. It details a loss of a loved one and helps to show underlying impact on a family and in particular, the children. It is my hope that this book may help children and families to understand family loss and help them to appreciate who they have in their life.
