Loved the dual narration of Scarlett Everdeen and Christopher Rourke

Cash Wall may have had a crush on Glenna at school, but he still bullied her. Time has passed and Glenna, who now is prickly, grumpy, runs afoul of the small town because she publishes an article exposing some corruption of the popular town sheriff.
A hunting accident throws Cash and Glenna together they decide with lots of persuasion from Cash to stage a fake relationship. The idea that his golden boy popular persona will somehow turn the tide of town hatred aimed her way. But Cash really just wants an excuse to finally claim Glenna for his own. Glenna just wants him to keep him at arms length and far away from her as possible. She is not totally convinced his little plan is even going to work and also she understandably doesn’t trust him.

I've read this book many times and this audio recording is an amazing interpretation of the text. both performers are fantastic and the perfect choices for both Glenna and Cash. Easily one of my favourite romances!

This story was steady away - it didn’t blow me away but at the same time, I was definitely glad to have read it. It was well written with humour throughout and I was surprised by the occasional appearance of nuanced but spot-on messaging around racism.
