About this listen

A follow-up to the original groundbreaking collection, Again, Dangerous Visions features forty-six short stories from giants of the science fiction genre.

Grand Master of the Science Fiction Writers of America and winner of countless awards—including the Hugo, Nebula, Edgar Allan Poe, and Bram Stoker—Harlan Ellison proved once more that he was both unpredictable and irrepressible in this second collection of innovative science fiction. Again, Dangerous Visions—the middle installment in a planned three anthology series—includes award-winning stories from incomparable writers such as Ursula K. Le Guin, Gene Wolfe, Ray Bradbury, Kurt Vonnegut, Piers Anthony, Dean Koontz, and James Tiptree, among many others.

Unprecedented and electrifying, Again, Dangerous Visions cemented Harlan Ellison’s legacy as the ultimate sci-fi anthologist.

Narrators include Neil Hellegers, Ramiz Monsef, Tim Campbell, Hillary Huber, Dion Graham, Joe Hempel, Kevin Kenerly, John Pirhalla, Zura Johnson, P. J. Ochlan, Erica Sullivan, Grover Gardner, Alex Boyles, Gary Bennett, Heath Miller, Natalie Naudus, Stefan Rudnicki, Scott Brick, and Jim Meskimen.

3.5* - It's taken me a while, with the listening ramping up a level or three with the drawing-in of the nights, the temperature dropping, and the Autumnal days feeling poetic and joyful... it feels easier to read and listen when the blankets, winter duvets, and dressing gowns come out! Lol. Don't judge!

I enjoyed this more than the first anthology... I think! Love and hate anthologies for the inconsistencies, the differences, and the unexpected. These sometimes make it harder to 'tune-in' and really feel connected with what you're listening to, whilst at times also wishing you could listen to more of the stories that enrapture and engage

Really looking forward to the final instalment...

It turns out that this is a timeless collection of great writers. These were the new wave at the time but they created an influenced the sci fi / fantasy being written today. As usual Harlan Ellison was seriously ahead of his time. When he was wrong he was just as likely to tell everyone he was still right. Thank god for that determination or this book would not be here. Do not miss the chance to hear half a million words of excellent stories.

Fresh, new, authors and just as ground breaking as Dangerous Visions
