After the Fire by Felice Stevens is part of the Through Hell & Back series. It can be read/listen to as a standalone but i would recommend reading in order if you are looking for a series read to enjoy fully.This book and series is a heartbreaking read of loss and struggle in life. The angst and emotions i went through with this book really pull on the heart strings. The characters really pull you in and don't let go and as i'm reviewing the Audio version of this book. The narration of this book is spot on keeping my attention. The reason for this is sometimes with Audio books no thought has been put into who will be narrating the story. Which for me spoils the enjoyment so when an author takes the time to make the voices fit the character/characters i really appreciate it more.
