Health-care professionals know that our thoughts influence our physical, mental, and emotional health, for good or for bad. We routinely enlist the help of psychologists and medications to overcome our deeply rooted, harmful thoughts. But we also have the power to change our thoughts ourselves, in ways that complement or offer an alternative to these often only marginally effective, and sometimes side-effect laden, treatments. This inspirational book is the ultimate self-help manual, a powerful tool for personal transformation.
Author J. Donald Walters teaches that negative thoughts exist in the subconscious mind, mentally whispering thousands of times each day, "I am afraid, I am tired, I am angry". To be successfully overcome, these thoughts must be faced in their own territory. Affirmation is a proven method of influencing the subconscious mind, and replacing those negative thoughts with positive statements of well-being. Each of the affirmations in this audiobook will reach the subconscious in a language it can hear and understand. Where other methods fail, these affirmations are sure to succeed.

As soon as the navigation started I already knew I won't like the voice and intonation. It sounded boring and unbelievable to me/ It also refers to God a lot and I am not religious even though I believe in a greater power. The reference to God did put me off as my beliefs are with the Universe and therefore it doesn't work for me referring to God as such. It includes prayers and the way they are spoken are not representing the way I choose to communicate with the Universe so this audio book is definitely not for me. I stopped after the 6th affirmation as I did not enjoy listening to it full-stop.
