Story
I never believed in the whole “light at the end of the tunnel” folly where people, after having a near-death experience, would startle awake in a cold sweat exclaiming, “I saw the light!” But there I was, in this so-called “tunnel” facing a glaring light, when the last thing I remembered was sleeping in my room - the royal bed-chamber, as others called it. Had I died? If so, how? King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic.

Story
Erik knew one thing after dropping in, when he first saw the numbers before his eyes, the rumors about the "cursed" were true. He was in another world. Survival wasn’t assured. Cultivate, get skills, grow abilities, or die. His old life, as a combat medic, had been hard, but he had learned some valuable lessons. And he wasn’t alone. His best friend, a marine recon sniper, like always, was right by his side. Could they figure out this fantasy world? What does it mean to ascend? How will they master the magic of this strange place?

Ryker only has one goal in his life right now: Turn a certain adventuring guild into a flaming wreck while dancing merrily through the smoldering ruins. All for the chance to get back at a handful of people. It isn’t as if they didn’t deserve it either. They had driven him from his home. Chased him physically from the very guild house itself. Simply because he wasn’t as strong as they expected him to be. As strong as he’d expected himself to be. He’d returned the next day and left with something he’d hidden away and told no one about when he found it in one of his few Dungeon Dives.

Story
After his town is put to the sword and the children are taken to replace the fallen, an old man is out for revenge. He’s ready to fail at the most difficult challenge in the world: cultivation. Too corrupted to even take the first steps, the sly old elder simply agreed with those who told him that it was impossible. Then, he quietly ignored them, rubbed his hands together, and started anyway. He had always failed in what he did. The only thing that had never failed him was his sharp mind and philosophy. He would cultivate...no matter what it cost him.

The End of Series, the Beginning of More
First, Emily is a delight of a narrator and has brought Nora to life in a magical way! Second, if you have not read Delvers LLC, Adventure Capital which is the third Delvers novel I suggest you do so. This series ties directly into that one and there are major spoilers for Delvers in this book! Blaise Corvin takes one final swing with the character Nora Hazard, a woman who has journeyed from back alley nobody to being a force of nature legend-the-making, and knocks it out if the park to close out Nora's solo story! As Nora's powers have grown so has her foes. She no longer faces simple street gangs and instead now holds the line against forces that would turn ordinary adventurers to jelly. From monsters of other worlds to monsters of her own past the rogues gallery is stacked for this tale! Ince again Emily Beresford brings the gruff and at times downright unpleasant Nora to life with a stunning performance to close the series. From flat dialogue of a soldier to internal monologues verging on tears Emily's range is on full display. And that final villian! Hoho, a treat for any fan to hear! Blaise's Delvers and Nora books both take place in the Artifice Universe and as of this book are more intertwined than ever. His story and world are beautiful hellscape for conflict to play in. Will professors everywhere be assigning this work to their undergrads as an example of textbook style and prose? No. Will those who enjoy GameLit be thoroughly entertained and engrossed. Yes! If you've enjoyed the LitRPG or GameLit genres at all then these two series are must read books and this audio is a crowning conclusion to one character's journey before the entire universe takes a new turn... ... and NOTHING will be the same!

Really enjoyed
Nora still is a bit of an idiot, she makes mistakes and forgets to think about the big picture sometimes. But in the end she does pull herself together and fights for the greater good. She is a little bit overpowered, but not too overpowered like the Delvers team. I think Henry or Jason would beat her, she won't get destroyed, but it would be a good battle. Looking forward to what happens next now that both series have converged.

Blaise Corvin's best book yet
On an increasingly respectable list of publications by Blaise Corvin, Accounts Payable stands out. Nora Hazard is a character that is fun, exciting, and very real in a way most LitRPG books don't explore. Corvin is not afraid to have characters with flaws, and he's not afraid of hard topics. I spent the whole book rooting for Nora with all my might. AP is Corvins best book to date and I can't wait to see what he does next.

Revenge Of The Hazzard
I just finished this book and I'm still taking it all in to be honest with you. Nora's hero journey concludes three years after book 2. Don't worry about the time skip this is like Return Of The Jedi the time skip needed for the character to wrap up all the plot lines in a very satisfying way. Blaise took twice the time as normal to write this homecoming and conclusion and it shows. I don't want to give away any spoilers but this book as possibly the best most emotional fight I've ever experienced in any medium. I really loved this one.

pew pew rotting pew
All I definitely like the way the book wrapped up and tied into the main story. There were times when I needed to convince myself that I had to finish it. On the one hand the author's insistence of using curse words like rotting and Earth slang but replacing them with ridiculous words is so forced to the point that it is either confusing or annoying. Nora obviously knows how to use the F word and yet uses rotting so often that it drives me up the wall and sounds utterly ridiculous. 1 of the main issues that I have is her over reliance on that stupid death rain pew pew. All I hear about the entire book is how using the weapon will drain her and how she can't use the weapon again or How she just used it and can't. It is a very lazy writing technique that in every single combat she can pull out a ring that instantly kills anyone. It ruined a lot of fights for me instead of using this the author could have developed her character in a 100 different ways and expanded on her powers like with Jason and Henry. I cannot stand the fact that she screams hazard like a moron. It is not clever and stupid and the narrator actually makes it unbearable. Lastly Nora spends so much time whining. she's an utter badass yet cries about everything. bery smart yet does idiotic things and then goes....oh I should know better. for example complaining about not being a rotting hero was cute at first. by the end of the book it was beyond annoying. just shut up nora. my favorite part of the book is when it reaches the delvers. blaise is better than this. thankfully i got through it.

Great series nice tie-in to Delvers LLC series
This was a great listen. I like the main character, the overall story line and how it ties into greater universe. I also enjoy hearing about events that happened in another favorite series (Delver LLC) from the perspective of a different character in other parts of the world. The way Blaise interconnected these series is nice to see and I am looking forward to the next Delvers book where all my favorite people will be together.
