Summary

Born with a rare blood disorder that means she cannot go out in daylight, Accacia has learned to live in the dark, even if it has been incredibly lonely. Determined to find a cure that will finally allow her to walk in the sun, Accacia has spent her days and nights holed up in her laboratory doing just that.

After a freak encounter with a tall, dark, and ridiculously handsome stranger, Accacia might just have found her cure, but not in the way she expected. Drawn into a parallel world of paranormal creatures and a Queen who wants her dead, Accacia has to put her trust in three vampires who, seemingly, want to devour her in more ways than one.

Accacia's Curse is book one of Accacia's trilogy and part of the Sisters of Hex series, reverse harem books and for listeners 18 years of age and older.

Fascinating Story!

Wow, what a creative mind Bea Paige has, she creates a world with imaginative characters and interesting storylines. This story is action packed, suspenseful and dramatic. There are some hot and emotional moments too. I Loved the chemistry between Acacia and Rhaine, Ezra and Devin. I am looking forward to seeing where their relationship goes and what happens next in Ever Vale.

I listened to the Audible edition, Megan Green does a nice job narrating and telling the story. She brings the characters to life from the pages to your ears.

Accacia's Curse

Accacia's Curse by Bea Paige is probably the best reverse harem book that I have listened to this year. I found myself intrigued by the characters. The imagery in the story is wonderful. Megan Green does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. She added so much to my enjoyment of the book. This story is a standalone listen and part of a trilogy.

A brilliant and unusual take on vampires

This was my first time listening to Megan Green, something about her voice took me a long time to get used to and kept pulling me slightly out of the story. Not enough to stop listening, more a little niggle.

The story itself is great. I love the fact that although Accacia doesn't know what she is she has suffered the downside of it her whole life. Brilliant idea. Really enjoyed the different take on the paranormal creatures involved and the world they inhabit. Looking forward to diving further into the world in the next book.

Amazing slow burn paranormal RH

This story is intriguing, I love Cia and her men. The world building is great as are the characters. The author was able to make all of them very relatable. However, I should mention there may be triggers for some, there is abduction, date rape drugs and thoughts of suicide.

Is it a curse or has She gotten lucky?

Interesting start to a new paranormal series by Bea Paige, narrated by Megan Green.
Accacia lives in the night, having no idea why daylight affects her. Her answers arrive in the form of three hot Vampires. Who answer her questions and give her other startling realization that she must deal with or possibly lose someone who has become dear to her.

Very interesting storyline

This audio book has some pros and some cons. It has an interesting storyline, good characters and world building.

On the other hand the narration is a bit rough. I think I would have enjoyed it better if the narrator hadn't tried so hard with her male voices. I did get used to it after awhile, but it was annoying at first.

just ok

this was just not great for me. it seemed very representative and the first 3/4 of the book seemed unnecessary for the story.
the characters were hard to connect with. and the narration was just ok. not fabulous.

A different kind of Vampire story

I would give the performance more of a 3.5 stars, the story line is interesting enough to hold your attention and I will continue the series for this fact. Bea Paige, the author, does a good job in getting you sucked in and curious on discovering this new world that Accacia is destined to save. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance.

Accasia's curse

A must listen/read for any fan of paranormal reverse harem.
Accacia has never been able to be out in the sun, but when she meets three mysterious men with the same affliction, answers might finally be close.

Enjoyable

Audio Review:

This was a new author to me, although I have listened to a couple of books narrated by Megan Green previously.

Paranormal is not a genre I often read or listened to. However I did enjoy Accacia’s Curse. Accacia suffers from a rare genetic disorder which has forced her to live her life in darkness. However when she meets Rhain, Ezra, and Devin, her life is changed.
Accacia’s Curse not only contained romance but suspense as danger reared it’s head. If you like your books to contain Vampires, Wolves and Witches then this may well be the book and series for you.

Great story

The author blends the traditional mythology of vampires with a new take on them beautifully. The story drags you in and makes you not want to stop until the book in done, then leaves you awaiting the next book.

Loved it!

Really need to read the other books in this series, but I didn't think I would like this book as much as I actually did. It was well written, paid attention to details, and although Accacia was my least liked character compared to the men, she did grow on me by the end of the story. It leaves you wanting more, in a good way, and anticipating the next books in the series.

Great story

Loved this unique twist on the traditional mythology of vampires. A perfect blend of certain cliches that make the twist even more enjoyable. I love the fact that the author has set so many books for this series and I can not wait to read/listen to them. The narrator does a great job bringing out the characters feelings and emotions. Great Read

Accacia's Curse was a good read by Bea Paige. Accacia was born with a rare blood disorder that means that she can't go out in daylight. She spends her time in a lab trying to find a cure to her problem. She finds her cure in an unlikely place, a handsome stranger. She must put her trust in three vampires. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more in this series.

Kinda Cliché Vampire

To me, this was a really cliché storyline - which is really great, if you are in the mood for that! I LOVE certain clichés, but the pacing of the story was off for me, since it was either a lot of world explaining, and knock, knock: ACTION!! Back to explain whatever was revealed during the action, and then more or less straight into action again.

But it's the first of 15 (planned so far) books, so it is understandable that the author wants to give a full picture of her world right off the bat.

But otherwise a really promising story.

Great World Building

Since this is the first book in this portion of the series, the author spends some time world building and introducing the main characters. There isn't a whole lot of romance in this book because Accacia is reluctant to have any physical interaction with any of the guys, but there is some. I think this is more to highlight the sexual tension between Accacia and the guys and I think it will likely come in the subsequent books of the series. I also enjoyed the adventurous nature of this book. The author does a really great job building this unique world and I am excited to see where she takes these characters. Great descriptions!

I actually really like this narrator as Accacia. This narrator does speak with an accent and it can be a little much at times, but I've listened to her performances before and she has grown on me. She does a good job of speaking clearly and I think she is a great fit for this book. She does a great job of brining out the character's feelings and emotions throughout the book.
