fascinating details from the original Japanese text gives so much insight into the workings of dark souls as a world, a complete comprehensive culmination of explanation and theories that do wonders for the mind of the inquisitive chosen undead. answers questions one has after finishing the game.

credit to Lowkey who's knowledge on dark souls is profound and to the point leaving no leaf unturned.

credit to Vaati Michael Samuels Vidya for his great narration and soothing voice, when telling dark souls lore there is no one better.

thank you both for this incredible body of work, will be relistening over and over again untill it is time to usher in a new age!

A genuinely in depth academic analysis of one of the most influential games of all time by Lokey, combined with the calm, soothing voice of Vaatividya, makes this a must listen for any fan of Dark Souls or for those who are curious of the deeper lore. I really hope we get more books like this for other Fromsoft titles one day!

I absolutely loved this book. yes it can get quite scientific-y in parts but isn't too hard to follow. the depth of research Lowkey did is AMAZING! so many things in the game make way more sense now! he noticed even the most minute details of the environment & characters that most players won't have. even if you don't completely agree with him, he did provide alternative viewpoints to think about when it comes to situations, people or their stories. I feel I understand so much more of Lordran & can't wait to go back & put my new knowledge & understanding to use.

the book is that much smoother with Vaatividya's voice. makes you really immersed in the world.

Must Hear!
