Summary

The race is on. The last remnants of humankind fight to maintain their very existence. Everything is at stake as they push to preserve their homeland. Forward bases have been established, but they have a long ways to go if they’re to carve out a sanctuary. Not only do the survivors have millions of infected to worry about, but there is a ticking time bomb that they have to diffuse.

The western forces have secured an island, but it’s not truly theirs. The air is contaminated by the millions of infected. Without enough firepower to eliminate so many, they’ll have to come up with another solution before an accident allows the virus to infiltrate their ranks.

In the midst of battles that could swing either way, a 10-year-old girl cycles through the middle of nowhere. Alone and scared, she pedals on lonely highways, searching for help. Within her, she carries either the hope of salvation or the potential downfall of humanity.

Fantastic Finish!

Wow! This was a great series. Not many apocalyptic books go into the whole nuclear plant problem the world would face if there was an event. Then we have Emily biking her little self for miles not understanding what is going on but needing help. Then you have the Dr. that made the virus, can he save human kind? Read this series and see.

not my bag baby.

not fun to follow. too much shoved into this volume. pointless to keep the two in the trout camp in. adding the addict didn't give the book anything. end was disappointing and anticlimactic.

Not what I was expecting

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but this one left me disappointed. Very little attention was given to the original cast of characters by trying to explain and end the virus. I had a hard time sticking with this one. It was almost like someone else wrote this book. I hate to leave a negative review when I really liked the first two, but this one left me underwhelmed and Audible credits aren't cheap.

Ehhhh

The narration is not great.

I’m really glad the story is over. It was just interesting enough for me to care to stick it out. I tuned out often, though, only to tune back in after an unknown amount of time and discover I had not missed anything.
