Summary

Meadow Crawford sees things that no one else does. When a blind date goes badly wrong, she discovers that the world of fae and a city full of shifters actually exist. And that Rafe O'Shea isn't the kind of man to let a disastrous first date deter him from asking for a second. Rafe knows Meadow is meant to be his mate from the moment he sees her, but her friendship with the mysterious fae leader Smith brings a new level of complication into Rafe's life. When Meadow is kidnapped by a rogue pack, Rafe will pay any price and fight any monster to rescue her. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, Rafe wants his mate safe with him and to show her everything is right in the world. But if she can't trust herself or her new powers as a muse, how will she ever trust him?

City Shifters Series continues

This is a shifter series that is best enjoyed in order though that is not required. Each book is more or less standalone though a lot of the characters overlap.

Ruby and Rafe are the alphas of a pack of wolves though they are siblings. Ruby is mated to a lion who supports her alpha position but does not interfere unless the situation warrants his attention. Rafe and Ruby realise for their shared responsibilities to the pack to continue, Rafe's mate would have to be very special.

Then Rafe accidentally meets Meadow. She is special, though unaware of the shifter world and her own uniqueness. Rafe needs to tread carefully with her to bring her safely into his world. But before she can fully understand shifters, mate Rafe and come into her own unique powers, she is kidnapped by a rival pack gunning for Rafe and Ruby's territory.

I enjoyed the action, romance and adventure of this book. This paranormal world is complex with its shifters, fae and other unique species.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Meadow and Rafe

This was another good book in the series. I am glad Rafe gets his mate and HEA. Layla Nash did a wonderful job in creating the City Shifters: The Pride series. I thoroughly enjoyed each book.

Beth Roeg did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great

Rafe may finally get his happy ever after. He signs up for the matchmaker but the date goes all wrong. The Bad Creek rogue shifters are out for blood. Mr. Smith the maybe fae investigator has something to do with the woman that came to the date. And so much other exciting things are written in this novella.
The narration is great. I hope to listen to more of her books soon.
