A Timeless Hero is a time-travel historical romance set between present day and the 1800s where Ross York, a Peterson Detective, hunts outlaws from all over the US, bringing them to justice. He goes after them wherever the outlaws have escaped to, whether to the past, present but to different countries, or to the future.
In the first book of the series, he first meets his wife, Liza Starr Love, an historical romance author, when he and his daughter arrive in her house during a violent thunderstorm with a tornado. It brought him from the late 1880s from a wagon train he was on where he was taking his daughter to live with his brother while he works as a detective. His first assignment is to go after Belle Starr, Liza's great-grandmother. At the end of the first book, Liza becomes a Peterson detective.
