Not what I expected and when I started I was a bit disappointed. After a few chapters I though this would be great for teens, towards the end I actually quite enjoyed it. Well, who wouldn't enjoy the relentless upbeat, can do, never give up, be a better person attitude that comes with Bear Grylls.

For this type of book its length is about right not sure much more could have been added.

So, if you are a teen / early twenty, read it, live by it and life will be good. If you are an old grey hair like myself then it's still not a bad reminder that a relentless upbeat, can do, never give up, be a better person attitude would have been a great way of living the past 40+ years.

No, it's not a 'how to' book on the great outdoors, it's not a 'how to' climb everest. It's not even 'how to' catch bugs to eat or drink pee to survive guide! But it IS a thoroughly brilliant book to get you motivated and to see the bigger picture in life. it's uplifting. The chapters are short, really short, but that's the only downside I found. Starting reading this through a recommendation and so glad I did. So far listened twice. He's able to make you feel more, and want to get more out of life. What a fabulous read to get you up off that sofa and help you get your life back!! thanks bear :)

Really enjoyable.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Survival Guide for Life to be better than the print version?

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Survival Guide for Life?

I was at a boarding school as well and life is very much like he described and it was nice to hear that you are not the only one to go through this and to see a more human side that everybody can associate with is great

Have you listened to any of Tom Patrick Stephens’s other performances? How does this one compare?
