About this listen

From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes a new romance about trading secrets, breaking the rules, and playing for keeps.

My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars.

Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie.

I got drunk. And picked up a stranger.

Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place.

She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her.

Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team.

And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter.

First of all I loved this audio as I was listening it got me right into the story of queenie and Kjng.

I loved King he my favourite by far, I just love how understanding he is and his relationships and I loved how he come out of shell abit and lost it.

I loved how they didn’t get broken apart then put back together. I loved how they resolved everything and I loved how Cody got what was coming to him.

I also loved how Violet and Alex where in it loads with their kids.

I really hope Jake and Hannah are going to get together as we get more King!

Loved this audio one of my favourites now!

Deserves more than 5 stars because this storyline draws you along as Queenie and King each navigate the results of family turmoil whilst slowly getting to know what a loving relationship really means. There's a good mix of characters that add to story and the narrators did an amazing job of bringing them all to life.

Compelling love story

I was sceptical about Kingston because he wasn't a character I thought I would like so much from seeing him on the sidelines in the other two books. He just seemed a bit odd and different to the "typical" hero. But that proves I shouldn't judge a book by its cover because his quirkiness made him such an intriguing and attractive character.

Kingston and Queenie are entirely different characters and they have a beautiful opposites attracts romance with a slight age gap. I was rooting for them to work out from start to finish and both Kingston and Queenie have some challenges to work through. Kingston proves that he can be the rule-abiding alpha hero who drinks milk and drives with his hands at ten to two while being a multiple O scorer in the bedroom. Kingston is so gentle and kind to Queenies crazy chaos but they definitely work.

Loved these two

A quick read that had a good story and emotions. I did prefer the male narrator more personally, and I wish it had been a duet but both narrators did well

I enjoyed this
