shame on the editor... "this man"

I finished this book because of the story. I cannot bring myself to continue with the next book however. The OVER use of "this man" is like nails on a chalkboard.

Good

I enjoyed the story but I found the protagonist irritated with her constant repetition of her doubts and insecurities. The plot of the story itself was interesting, the ending was a bit of a surprise for sure. And I although I like the narrator, I feel she tends to keep the same monotone through all of her reading. She has a great sexy and seductive voice, but it does not very with everything that is happening in the book. It is still a good read.

Repetitive much

This book drove me nuts, you can only talk about your past & your control blah blah so many times I had to fast forward a couple Of times just not to hear it again. I only finished it because I had to know how this indecisive story and ends.

One of my new favorite series so far

Lisa has always been able to write Beautiful stories and always pick amazing narrators to tell her story! But this one I couldn’t stop listening to I finished it in just one night and can’t wait for the next two books! Worth the credit to listen but warning cliffhanger but Lisa is always good at making you want more and it’s always worth the wait!

Stradivari descendant looks for formula & Brother

Well constructed story of sibling antique dealers by demand who have a hidden identity and the brother probably has developed a hidden agenda. There is intrigue and suspense but the cliffhanger is very predictable. Walker security is only a little involved but it is clear that more is coming. Having read much of those books including the Savage Trilogy this is like welcoming old friends. There are also other characters that are apparently from another series on my to do list. The romance and mystery build at a good pace, between Aria and the musician billionaire Case August but their character development is a bit repetitive and slow to drag it out into more books. Please note though that once again this is part - 1/3 - of a story or a another duet that greedily is drawn out into a trilogy. That is one of the only things I dislike about the author. The plot is solid and the story compelling but the commercialism results in a great story being deliberately drawn out. The narration is the other issue. Savannah Peachwood does a great job as Aria but has horrible male voices and it makes it really hard to imagine Case and the grating guttural voice as sexy. The audio should have been done as a dual or duet with an appropriate male performer. May need to switch to ebook to complete the series. If you can tolerate the male voice and cheesy cliffhanger and are willing to pay for at least 2 more books it is worth the credit, but hopefully at some point in the future it will be a 2 for 1 sale.

Not for me...

DNF @ 60% I found the book very boring and hard to get into. Even though the narrator has a beautiful voice for me it didn’t fit this story. The story is also labeled dark, but it’s not at all. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from reading it.

Loving Kace and Aria!

I am loving Kace and Aria! The pull between them is strong and they seem an almost magical couple. They are so in tune and spark the most romantic harmony and passionate tenor. The Stradivarius is beautiful and unique and Kace makes music so beautiful, that it can be felt deep in her soul. She knows all about the Stradivarius because it’s in her blood, which she cannot reveal without putting herself and her brother in danger. Goo has been missing and she fears for his safety. She’s already lost two family members because of their name, her father’s labor of love. It’s obvious that they are hiding secrets from each other. We know Aria’s secrets but we do not discover the depth of betrayal his secret(s) may reveal. Chris and Sara are part of their story and are Mark and Crystal. Have to say I’ve missed them. And Savage. Hmmmm. It’s delicious, really; all of the strong men. 🤗 I cannot wait for book two to delve deeper into their story and learn why Kace would betray Aria and how they can overcome it.

I'm impressed!

I haven't found a book that captures me in the first chapter for a time but this book made me stick to the tablet to keep listening to the story. I loved the plot, the secrets ... everything. Everything in this book is impressive. The story is rich in detail and captures the listener from beginning to end. Narration helps to create the perfect environment for every moment. Wonderful
