Summary

Gina Moss is single and proud. She's focused on her thriving childminding business, which she runs from her cottage at the edge of The Evergreens: a charming Victorian home to three elderly residents who adore playing with the kids Gina minds. To Gina, they all feel like family.

Then a run-in (literally) with a tall, handsome American stranger gives her the tummy-flutters.... Before a tragedy puts her older friends at risk of eviction - and Gina in charge of the battle to save them. The house sale brings her closer to Dexter, one of the owners - and the stranger who set her heart alight.

As the sparks fly between them, Gina carries on fighting for her friends, her home and her business. But can she fight for her chance at love - and win it all, too?

A Patchwork Family was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package.

Warm and fuzzy

I love cathy Bramley’s books , and this one lives up to expectations.
I listened the the audiobook version which is wonderfully narrated by Colleen Prendergast.
This can be easily read as a stand alone, but we see a partial return of Rosie and some of her family from the Lemon Tree Cafe.
As usual you get swept away into a world of lovely characters, and you find yourself rooting for them through their ups and downs until it all escalates into a glorious finish.
Great fun. Loved it .

Such a heart warming story!

Beautifully written and narrated. Definite feel good story that will leave you wanting more, lots of little twists with a very palatable story line.

Warm and feel goo.

This book follows the story of Gina, a divorced childminder, as she builds herself a new life, and pulls together her patchwork family.
Some old characters from previos books, make a very welcome return.
The story trots along at a good pace. The characters generally likeable and relatable.
The show is well and truely stolen, by the wit and warmth of the youngest and oldest characters, with Gina being the glue that sticks them all together.
Definately one of Cathy’s best, a really enjoyable read.
Well done to Coleen Prendegast aswell, on yet another outstanding audio performance.

cosy, engaging, delightful

not my normal genre but the storyline caught my attention and I'm delighted I gave it a chance.
The narrator is perfect, and the story has unexpected twists which kept my interest.
Yes its sweet and in a few places predictable, but it kept my attention and produced a lovely feel good sensation at the end.
I will certainly be checking out the other titles by this author!

Would highly recommend

What a lovely story read beautifully by Colleen. Loved the little twists and turns in the lives of the characters, all brought together in Barnaby for different reasons.

Very Pleasant

This is an easy listen for unwinding to, it isn't demanding and will probably be forgotten by next week. The narrator wasn't to my taste but not bad

A little slower to get started

I absolutely love Cathy Bramley, this unfortunately is not one of my favourites. it took a while to get started, but once it did I really did enjoy it. still a 4**** book though.

Slow start but great book

I really didn’t think I would enjoy this book as it has a very slow start but once I got into it I loved it
