Very enjoyable and feels like a conversation with an old friend. Highly recommended for anyone who dreamed of being an artist as a child; it's not just for fans of the series. There is something for everyone to take away from this story. Thank you, James.

Good book and well read by James, if you like Cinemassacre productions and of course the AVGN this a very good listen.

I bought the physical paperback the second it released and now I've enjoyed James's own voice recount his life's ups and downs a second time.
Rolfe shows how the the smallest of fortunes can have a very moving impact on your life (The college roommate stories especially), having started watching his content in 2015, I became very attached to James's humble nature and hilarious content.
If you're a fan of AVGN and all things Cinemassacre, then this is for you.

While the audiobook is only 8 hours long it's nice to hear an author read their biography, I think it helps the listener feel more connected to the author that way.


that aside, the book is really nice, I share a few qualities with James, and as someone who's been watching the nerd since 06 during my final year of grade school/primary school, it's nice to (for lack of better words) get a peak behind the curtain as to how James went from a nerd to THE Nerd. The book articulates his story really, well, and honestly, I'm glad I bought it and had a chance to listen it, books like these help remind us that celebrities (internet or general) are just people and that James, like most of those who'll listen/read his book, are all for having fun and telling fun stories.

10/10.
