Very enjoyable - realistic, believable characters extremely well narrated. My first Hilary Boyd- I've already downloaded the next.

I got drawn into the story very quickly and continued listening even after the car journey.
The only thing I felt was a bit lame that it had the predictable Happy Ending

This novel is written in the first person and we are led through the ups and downs of Jo's emotions following the break-up of her marriage to Lawrence. The narrative is very enthralling and this reader was completely hooked from start to finish. Each character contributes something different to the novel and the excellent narration from Jenny Funnell brings them all to life. I am always very impressed when a narrator is able to cover such a wide range of ages and both sexes in an audio book. I found there was a lot of wisdom in this novel.

I hope I don't have to wait too long for Hilary Boyd's next audio book - they are all brilliant!

it's unpredictable enough to keep you interested however the character aren't wholly lovable. I enjoyed it gentle pace and many threaded storylines I just wish I felt more for Jo. Definitely worth a listen if you enjoy Joanna Trollope or similar.
