About this listen

If you find yourself driving down a winding mountain road near an endless stretch of pines, try tuning in to 104.6 FM: the radio station that shouldn't exist. Troubled radio host Evelyn McKinnon returns to her hometown of Pinehaven, but soon realizes the isolated mountain village has secrets of monstrous proportions. She's stalked by a bird with human eyes, her new co-host drives her crazy, and when the fog rolls in, the beasts of Pinehaven Forest begin their brutal, bloody hunt. 'A Lonely Broadcast: Book One' is just the beginning of a gruesome folk horror tale that combines eldritch nightmares, analog horror, and an emotionally-charged story about friendship and grief.

Obviously as with all horror stories, there were major flaws in the plot like why she stayed when she didn’t need to and the first day on the job being her first day of sobriety made no sense at all but as with most horrors you have to look past a few things and just enjoy the story anyway.

I really enjoyed the two main characters and the plot was fast paced and eventful. The monster in the fog was unusual and I loved the vivid descriptions… can’t wait to read the next one
