Summary

A captivatingly funny and deeply emotional new standalone romance by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster.

When the Dark Knights at Bayside and the cast of Bayside Summers collide, sparks fly, and trouble is not far behind.

Set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the Wickeds feature fiercely protective heroes, strong heroines, and unbreakable family bonds. If you think bikers are all the same, you haven't met the Dark Knights. The Dark Knights are a motorcycle club, not a gang. Their members stick together like family and will stop at nothing to keep their communities safe.

Their stories are told in the same loving, passionate voice listeners have come to adore in Melissa's other series. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb between the pages and join them!

In A Little Bit Wicked

What do a cocky biker and a businesswoman who has sworn off dating bad boys have in common? According to Chloe Mallery, not much. But Justin Wicked has had his eye on her for a long time, and he is sure the inescapable heat between them runs far deeper than just physical attraction. Could their difficult pasts be drawing them together, or will Justin’s protective nature be too much for Chloe’s independent heart to accept?

Buckle up for a spectacular ride, and fall in love with Justin and Chloe in A Little Bit Wicked, a fun, sexy standalone romance.

The Wickeds Book One

The Wickeds Book One.
While this can be read as the first in a new series, I highly recommend reading the preceding series. The characters will make a lot more sense.

Chloe Mallery loves her job at Lower Cape Assisted Living Facility (LOCAL) and her scrapbooking hobby. She is happiest around her sister and the elders she works with, but Justin Wicked is determined to prove to her that he isn't like the men of her past. Justin might be in a motorcycle club and seem like a rough, dangerous man, but his club is community minded and protective of those in their circle. Chloe might not see it yet, but Justin fell for her a long time ago.

If you're looking for a biker with a heart of gold and the woman who slayed him, this is the book for you!

This was the sweetest book!

This was the sweetest book! I loved Justin! He is the perfect "bad boy" and I couldn't get enough! I loved the Dark Knights and their dynamic and I loved how they welcomed Chloe in with open arms and gave her everything she always wanted. I couldn't quit smiling throughout this entire book. It was a beautiful story.

The narrators did a fantastic job. I loved the fact that they had different voices for different characters and they nailed the emotions!

Excellent narration, stand alone story

I loved the characters in a Little Bit Wicked. The men are tough in some ways, but sweet in others. The Dark Knights MC does a lot of good for the community and the characters accepted the consequences for any unlawful actions. I appreciate that there weren't a lot of relationship miscommunications. It's been awhile since I've read the earlier Love in Bloom books. It's not required to have read any other books before this one, though there are a lot of familiar characters from related series.

Aidan Snow was new to me, but Savannah Peachwood is one of my go-to narrators. Together they made a great team to bring the characters to life.

Awesome Story & Listen🎧📚🎧 Wickedly Captivating!

This book just swept me right in, grabbing both my attention and my heart right from the start and held it straight to the end. Melissa Foster is a gifted author, I enjoy her writing style, the storylines she creates are original and interesting but the stars of this book are the characters, they are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Chloe Mallory did not have the easiest of childhoods, she learned early on how to fend for herself and look out for her younger sister. It left her scarred in some ways but strongly independent and fierce in other ways. Justin Wicked’s childhood was not the easiest either but things got a whole lot better when the Wicked’s took him in. He struggled at first but the Wicked’s did not give up on him and Justin grew into a fine young man. That Wicked family is awesome and you can not help but fall in love with each one of them. It was great how supportive they are in times of need. Loved the camaraderie amongst the siblings, loved the typical sibling banter too. The same with the Dark Knights MC, they are definitely a unique club and I thought it was awesome what they do for others. Justin wanted Chloe but she kept pushing him away, she has her mindset on preconceived notions about bad boys and those who belong to motorcycle clubs. Feeling it is safer to go out with suits and clean-cut guys. Yet none of them make her feel like she does when she is near Justin. When she finally gives in she realizes the error of her ways, not everything is what it appears to be. I loved how everything plays out in Chloe and Justin’s story, the chemistry between them is explosive and smoking hot. A lot goes on in this book, the story flows naturally and is beautifully plotted with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some humor, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Melissa Foster, thank you for this awesome story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow are fantastic narrators and voice performers. They did an awesome job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. Aiden Snow’s Justin was perfection, as was Savannah Peachwood’s Chloe, sounding just as I pictured them to sound, great job with the secondary characters too. Both are entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Justin is the perfect alpha mixed with heart!

I have a serious weakness for a man on a motorcycle… I met my husband on his motorcycle and a leather jacket on. Chloe has some serious strength and determination… there’s no way I would have lasted as long as she did. Add in a man that does good deed and I AM DONE! Just done for. I loved Chloe and her inner strength but Justin… Justin has the skill to twist a woman up! He loves hard and fiercely. He’s a bit over the top, a bit too much but his heart is unbeatable!!

Onto the narration, just like the story, it was sweet and strong. Savannah Peachwood is an amazing narrator and she seems to capture Chloe’s character perfectly. Chloe is strong and has this independent personality that Peachwood really nails with her voice. Justin could have been only narrated by Aiden Snow. Justin is an alpha male to the extreme and Snow captures that so innately. However, Justin also has this softer side that Chloe brings out in him. He really balances this macho man with a sweeter and more sentimental man. Loved the narration!

A Wicked Great Alpha!

I really need to back up and read Melissa Foster’s previous books because so many couples are mentioned that it was a little overwhelming at times. I remember a couple of them from books I’ve read but they all seem to be connected so I would like to know every else’s story now. I have been in a little bit of a reading funk with the last couple books so I am not sure if I just wasn’t in the mood for such a light romance or if the story really did have an unnecessary amount of fluff in it. I kept picturing this as a hallmark movie, sometimes there were some scenes that seemed way too sweet and made my eyes roll which isn’t my normal reaction… I like romance with drama but I also usually love the light carefree romances. I liked Justin and his Wicked family, all the brothers were hilarious! Justin was a great mix of alpha bad boy biker but also devoted and romantic, really he was perfect. I think most of my problem came from Chloe, she drove me crazy for her judgement. They were good friends but she wouldn’t date him because she wrongly judged him for being a biker, which how could they really have been friends if she honestly didn’t know anything about him or what all his family did for the community. I know she had trauma from her past that justified some of her issues but I could only here her go on about him being an unreliable biker so many times. I did like the little flair of trouble at the end… yeah, apparently I was really in the mood for some drama and turbulence but if you are in the mood for cute easy romance then this would be a good one for that.

Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow did a great job narrating. I always enjoy Savannah’s voice and Aiden had a deep growly voice that was absolutely perfect for Justin!

Love Justin and Chloe!

Title: A Little Bit Wicked
Author: Melissa Foster
Format: Audio
Narrators: Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood
Genre: Romance, friends to lovers, MC, Comedy
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 1 of The Wicked: Dark Knights at Bayside
POV: Justin and Chloe
Steam Level: Toasty at time but also some dark sexual themes
5/5

I love how Melissa Foster integrates her secondary characters throughout her books. I feels like a nod to her fans and I enjoy it. A Little Bit Wicked is an emotional journey. Justin and Chloe's pasts are not pretty and has shaped the people they've become. I loved how Melissa Foster showed how healing is a process and the importance of a support system. I like that Chloe and Justin's relationship was strong and once Chloe got out of her own way and accepted a relationship with Justin they only strengthened each other. I like how the drama was mostly outside their relationship and how they dealt with it together. A Little Bit Wicked is a great start to this series and I look forward to falling in love with the rest of the characters and their dogs.

Favorite Quotes:
He didn't play games, he played for keeps
"You can't save me from the world, Justin." "I'll never stop trying"
A man who waits is a man worth waiting for.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Friends to Lovers

Ahhh I’ve read some Bayside and some Whiskey’s, now I’m on to the Wicked’s! A Little Bit Wicked is a sweet, angsty, friends to lovers romance with all the feels! I loved every second of Justins’s dirty mouth and flirty ways. Chloe is his exact opposite. I think they fit together perfectly.

Chloe has always been her little sisters protector. She grew up seeing stuff no kid should have to, and those experiences drove her to be who she is today. They also have her trying to date straight laced men. Justin is the perfect friend, always there to lend a hand to get rid of them when they aren’t working out 😂. Too bad she has to keep telling herself she’s not interested in bikers. If only she would give in to his flirty banter and give him a chance, she’d be hella surprised!

Savannah and Aiden really brought this story to life! I think they matched Chloe and Justin perfectly!

HOT and MELTY

What a wicked ride!!!

If you've read Melissa Foster's' Bayside books, then you've Justin Wicked and Chole Mallery. I was SO excited it was finally their turn. They've spent months dancing around each other and it was about damn time! But now we also get to meet Justin's great big family, The Wickeds, cousins to The (oh so fabulous!) Whiskeys. Each one of them is a character in themself and adds so much dimension to this story.

This book has so much: a fabulous friends-to-more story, the beach, family drama, rescue pups, laughter, tears, and some moments that lead me to have quite the internal dialogue where I asked Melissa if she was trying to give me a heart attack. It's such an amazing story and I CANNOT WAIT for the rest of the series.

oh, and Aiden and Savannah....ON FIRE.....

Wicked is good

I love how this author gives us some lessons while giving us a heart warming story that heats the sheets too. We have Justin Wicket and Chloe Mallery who both had bad childhoods. They have gone on to do good for their community but in different ways. Chloe has been attracted to Justin, aka Maverick, for a long time but had a misjudgment about who he was because he was a biker and wore the bad boy persona. She learns looks can be deceiving and not to judge a book by its cover.

This book touches on some sensitive subjects and does so with grace. There is a lesson in this story and I loved listening to Justin and Chloe's love story.

Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow narrate this book and do a great job. Savannah brought Chloe's sweet naïve personality and Aiden was Justin with his sexy growly voice. Great job.

I love it and highly recommend it.

Justin and Chloe

Audiobook Review: As with all of Melissa Foster's books, I read this one before I listened to it. I LOVED reading Justin and Chloe's story but listening to it was even better. The narrators brought the emotions to life, gave voice to the characters, and made the story seem even more real. The dual narrators are perfect together. Savannah Peachwood had the perfect sweet, sexy, and loving voice for Chloe. Aiden Snow, a favorite narrator of mine, was tough, rough, and full of love just as Justin is.

eBook Review: The Wicked’s start a new family but they are not new to the Love in Bloom Series. They have made appearances in other books and are now getting the HEA’s they deserve. I am thrilled that Melissa started with Justin. He has been sniffing around Chloe since the first time the reader was introduced to him and it was time for him to stop sniffing and get to action.

I loved how much these two connected. It was not just physical. There were conversations, discussions about life, and fun outside of the bedroom. Now, I have to say that the heat in the bedroom was out of this world and I expected it to be. A Black Knight and the “Uptown Girl” must be explosive when they come together.

Of course, I have to mention the friendships. The girls have Chloe’s back, but they also know when they have to give her gentle shoves in the direction of the only man for her. The Wicked brothers will protect each other no matter what but they also understand that sometimes a man needs a little help getting out of his own way.

Whether A Little Bit Wicked is where you start reading Melissa Foster or you have been a fan for a while, the Wicked family is one that you will want more of.

UGH!!!!

I really wanted to like this story, but it was just hard. I love Savannah Peachwood! She did great, however, the male narrator was really hard to handle. He really didn't develop the characters so it was hard to get into the story when his parts all sounded the same. I just like it when the narrators' voice changes from character to character, so you feel more connected to the charecters. The overall story was good but it seemed to drag on, I feel like it could have ended sooner and some of the middle stuff could have been cut out. I had to stop listening with 2 hours left because it just seemed like the same thing kept happening over and over with few changes.

lovely story

I really enjoyed this story and how it approached many different important issues like child abuse, child neglect, foster care and adoption, sexual abuse, suicide, animal cruelty as well as stereotypes in regard to bikers and the people who love them. there were a few times I felt like the book was over only to discover the story had many additional life lessons.
The narration was flawless, once you got through the characters being addressed by 2 different names, their street names and their biker nickname. other than that it was a captivating story. I couldn't put it down.
