When they say life is full of surprises, I didn’t think they meant seeing your ex–the one you could almost swear you were over–cooking in your family's cabin, a place that's supposed to be filled with the warmth of friends and festive cheer.
Tinashe wasn't supposed to be here, not this Christmas. He was supposed to be a distant memory, a what-if I could tuck away. Yet, here he is, still gorgeous as ever claiming he wants a second chance.
The day I landed my dream job, he walked away with my heart, convinced he was holding me back. Three years later he is hotter, emotionally stable and determined to make amends. But I've changed too–turns out that high powered job I thought was my dream was nothing but a hollow victory, and I want more from a relationship than he may be willing to give.
Now the only question is: can we find a way to rewrite our story, or will the weight of our past keep us apart?
