The charming bouquet is uncorked for you by Mayle. He has an unflinching eye for local detail in the zany crime caper set in Bordeaux.
Entertaining stuff- but you might find yourself gasping for a glass of the red stuff.
Through deliciously evocative descriptions of the landscape and great characterisation, you'll find yourself foregoing meals in order to find out what happens next.
A feel-good story with a good plot and plenty of humour. A very enjoyable read.

Peter Mayle writes beautifully about France and creates great characters. Tim Pigott - Smith always delivers clear and convincing accents.

I wish there was a follow up to this story but it’s time to listen again to Toujours Provence

After watching the film first wondered how this audio book would pan out. Feel its even better in someways than the film version. (Although the film is worth a watch too)

A romantic and light hearted mixture of all that is best between the French and the British characters playing off each other. Superbly narrated by Tim Piggot-Smith.
