Summary

Spring, 1971, East Pakistan. Rehana Haque is throwing a party for her beloved children, Sohail and Maya. Her young family is growing up fast, and Rehana wants to remember this day forever. Fascinating and enjoyable

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It introduced me to a section of history that I knew very little about and it was fascinating and informative. The characters were beautifully drawn and I really cared about what would happen to them. Excellent narration.
