The unit’s leader, Major Fred Galvin, was summarily relieved of duty, and his unit was booted from the combat zone. They were condemned by everyone, from the Afghan president to American generals. When Fox Company returned to America, Galvin and his captain were the targets of the first Court of Inquiry in the Marines in fifty years.

As a former Navy Corpsman who had been attached to the Marines I can confirm that, for the most part, the men and women in positions of power of United States military have absolutely no concern for the wellbeing of those that they command. They are more concerned with protecting their own interests and careers than actually doing what is right and necessary.
