Summary
Amateur investigator Geneva Pomolo is once again steeped in drama after she accepts a party invitation. After 10 years in the realtor business, Biff Wellington has finally obtained his PhD in history, and is about to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming a professor. But as often happens in Wrangler’s Hill, the serenity of the evening is shattered by a series of nasty confrontations. Biff has spent his entire life alienating anyone who ever loved him, and now these former friends and family are out for revenge.
When Biff is found dead after a tumble down a flight of stairs, there are any number of suspects who might have given him that fatal nudge: the brewery owner who’s been secretly operating an illegal taproom; the much older woman Biff seduced and then callously threw away; and the fellow professors who passionately opposed his hiring.
Accompanied by a bright young student with aspirations of becoming a mystery novelist, Geneva is about to face her toughest and most formidable case yet—and if she’s lucky, she might even survive it.

Short entertaining cozy mystery
These are fun short reads. Two older ladies solve the murder of a college professor. The writing is good and the narration is excellent. I received a complimentary copy of the audio and am leaving a honest voluntary review.
