Summary

The year is 2051, and The MedMoore Group is the largest pharmaceutical and medical device producer in the world. The introduction of a new device, The Electric Mask, was revolutionary for Denise, a reclusive burn victim. But when a visit from her estranged sister opens the floodgates, the horror of childhood memories rush in, demanding resolution and the mask is the perfect tool. Some dark memories cannot be forgotten or forgiven.

Don’t judge a book under its cover !!!

What a great story.
I can’t believe or understand how Michael Bussa managed to say so much in such a short time including a beautiful punchline, really amazing !!!!

Why would anyone want to be alone?

This is a well written short story, offered in brief glimpses, each seperated by a single vibrant chime sound, charting the life of Denise, a crash victim whose severe facial injuries have left her a cynical recluse. Then she is offered revolutionary treatment...

Tense and absorbing, far more lies in the background than on the surface. The narration by Janina Edwards is excellent, clear and with just the right amount of emotional edge.

My thanks to the rights holder of A Face To Die For, from whom I received a complimentary copy at my request via Audiobook Boom. The book is the perfect length to fill an empty half hour with interest. Recommended.

Excellent short story

Reminds me of Tales of the Unexpected, a brief set up that engages immediately, a lovely weird bit and then a nice little sick twist right at the end!
Story based on a woman who was facially disfigured in an accident as a child. She's given the opportunity to trial a mask that makes her look beautiful. I literally can't say any more without spoiling it!
I'd put this side by side with Roald Dahl in quality of writing and story - will definitely be looking up more of this author's work.

I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The narrator was excellent too!
