Captivating
This is an engrossing tale of an engagement which is not quite what it seems. Lady Lilianne has known the Duke all her life, so she can assure herself she knows the man she is going to marry. At least, she thinks she does. With each passing day and each new discovery, her doubts grow stronger and she realises she never really knew him at all. Victoria Oliveri has written a compelling drama narrated with ease by Iona Campbell who has added a dynamic emotional range to the story and brought all the characters to life.

Exciting and easy to listen to
Having not listened to or read any of the previous books in this series I wasn't sure whether I would follow the story easily. Rest assured I quickly warmed to the characters and plot which I never struggled to follow. Victoria Oliveri has provided an exciting story and Iona Campbell brings it to life through her narration with ease. I enjoyed the range of accents and voices Campbell provided for the characters which slipped seamlessly in and out of the narrative. It was a pleasure to listen to.

Entertaining
I did enjoy this story, there were elements of danger and some misunderstandings. I had read the previous books and I was surprised by the naivety of Lady Lilianne at times, especially considering what she had been through. However there is plenty happening in this story to keep you listening until the end. The narrator was fine and she did try to use different voices to bring the story to life.
