About this listen

Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. Third book I’ve listened to now by this author.. I must say she has a gift for writing.. not the normal girl meets boy mush .. looking forward to finding another free listen by her in the plus catalog 🥰

I really enjoyed this book. It was poignant but funny in places. However, if you are going to have an American person narrating a book with an English character, please make sure they can do a good English accent. Wilson ranged from posh British to Northern sounding. This was the wrong narrator to choose and almost made me stop listening to the book.

A lot. I laughed, had lump in my throat few times, and tears in my eyes. It was moving and very emotional and felt like I was in it.

Any additional comments?

A wonderful story. Learn some differences between American and British English, contrast between the cultures. Very authentic. Tavia's performance gave a massive boost and made it perfect.

A heartwarming story about lost families. The story teller’s British accent is terrible - mixing up Yorkshire with Received Pronunciation but you get used to it after a while.
