Norman Norman has been a grumpy but wise sergeant in all the west Wales crime books but in this instalment his misery is crushingly relentless. It ruins the story.

The characters are really bonding throughout the series, however the editor or proofreader, needs to check that Norman’s 60th birthday seems to be spreading over 3 books?
His 1st 60th was around his house warming and Faye moving in with him?
Also why did this book end so abruptly?
