Summary

Scotland Yard Detective Superintendent Duncan Kincaid and his wife, Detective Inspector Gemma James, have been invited for a relaxing weekend in the Cotswolds. 

Duncan, Gemma and their children are guests at Beck House, the country estate belonging to the family of Melody Talbot, Gemma’s trusted detective sergeant. A centerpiece of this glorious autumn getaway is a charity luncheon catered by up-and-coming chef Viv Holland. The event could make Viv a star. But a tragic car accident followed by a series of mysterious deaths could ruin her ascent. Good story,I really enjoyed it but was very disappointed with the narrator,who completely changed the accent of the main character.. Perhaps she should have listened to how he sounded in all the previous books.

Why isn’t the entire series available

I love this series, the characters’ back stories, and the plots. It’s so refreshing to have police officers who haven’t got addictions, personality disorders or psychological issues! I wish they were all available on Audible
