About this listen

Deal with Your Depression in 7 Days

Depression isn't easy to deal with and affects roughly 7 percent of adults in the US - about 15 million people. The psychological nature of it makes it an ailment that is seldom treated and discussed; many don't have the means or the desire to seek professional assistance for depression.

For as frustrating and terrible as depression is, the reality is that you are probably one of the many sufferers who don't seek treatment - out of fear of embarrassment, financial concern, or some other reason(s). Whatever the delay may be, nobody deserves to live with depression.

A minor hint of the disorder is enough to last you a lifetime. Depressed individuals enjoy normally amazing parts of life less than they should, have lower overall happiness levels, and may even impede upon or worry friends and relatives - negatively impacting their lives as well. This book sets up a false premise, that depression can be treated by either medication or natural methods. There is no reason why a depression sufferer has to choose however you can to both. It is very negative and misleading about the effects of medication. The alternatives offered are sunshine, yoga, healthy diet, exercise and positive thinking. There you are, you don't need to waste your money on this book now. You will there by also spare yourself from being given a snotty and unsympathetic diagnosis of your depression as caused by your inability to deal with failure and excessive self esteem. There is much help to be had from working on improving your mental health and happiness with various methods such as CBT but this book seems to be prepared by someone with no experience of or empathy for depression. A mounts to little more than pull yourself together and get on with. Funny how that had never occurred to me.

A foolish and possibly dangerous book
