Good study
A generally good study although skip rants on a bit at times, also quite a few chapters repeat themselves that needs sorting out as it make book look longer than it actually is.

Excellent explanation of Revelation
What about Skip Heitzig’s performance did you like?
This is a series of 40+ consecutive sermons that are edited to flow smoothly. Intelligent and humorous throughout
Any additional comments?
Revelation is the least discussed and perhaps the most interesting book in the Bible. Skip does a great job explaining nearly every verse. He explains many of the original Greek words which help to define the context. He does not push to hard on some of the more ambiguous subjects like how the Anti-Christ will rise, what the locusts are, etc. and at times just says "I don't know." He makes a strong case for a pre-tribulation rapture of the church.
While most of us focus on Armageddon, Rapture, and the Anti-Christ, the most profound part of the Book is after all judgement when everything is made new. Skip did a phenomenal job explaining about our resurrected bodies and the ultimate glory of God. He explains Heaven, Hell, Hades, Abraham's Bosom, and why Paul refers to dead Christians as haven fallen asleep. I wasn't expecting Revelation to be about hope and glory. It turns out to be the most hope filled and glorious book of the Bible. Every Christian needs hear this!

Wonderful, I learned a lot
I have read the Bible from cover to cover 9 times in my life and yet I learned something new from this teaching, it was fantastic. I learned new things about the book of Revelation. Don't let the 1996 date turn you off, it is still very current. I have listened to all 34 hours of the teaching and I think it was great. The speaker is very professional and gives some very good examples and life application which makes the Bible come alive. I highly recommend it. Yes, it took me months to listen to all of it, but I looked forward to each and every chapter.

Not so much a book but an entire series of sermons
Was surprised at first that this was a bunch of sermons put together into an audiobook. I stuck with it and was pleasantly surprised. I do enjoy listening to sermons anyway, so it was an easy adjustment from the normal flow of an organized book by chapters. This one does have a few hiccups wherein the chapters don't match the sermons exactly, so I found myself mid-sermon on some when I forwarded to a chapter. There were some chapters that repeated from the previous sermon as they would in a church sermon where the pastor is picking up where he left off and wants to review what happened last week. All in all, I learned some great info from this series and would recommend patience if you turn it on and find it's not quite what you expected.
Regarding the content, I found the discussion and explanation of the Word to be proper - proper in that it doesn't take cultural influences of today to try to change the Word of God.

Skip Heitzig is a great pastor and I love the way he narrates his own book.
Sure he puts a few jokes in there but he is awesome to listen to and he explains it in ways that makes things easy to understand. I frequently purchase his books because he is that good!

For staff to let you know this is not a book. This is a group of sermons that he preached at his church. You will not be sorry you purchased this. His teaching is excellent and there was not any time of this broadcast that I was bored. If you want to learn the book of Revelation verse by verse this is your book.
