Summary
Thyme and Tide B and B
44 Cranberry Point
Cedar Cove, Washington
Dear Listener,
I love living in Cedar Cove, but things haven't been the same since a man died in our B and B. Turns out his name was Max Russell, and Bob had known him briefly in Vietnam. We still don't have any idea why he came here and - most important of all - who killed him. Because it now appears that he was poisoned. I sure hope somebody figures it out soon!
Not that we're providing the only news in Cedar Cove these days. I heard that Jon Bowman and Maryellen Sherman are getting married. And Maryellen's mom, Grace, has more than her share of interested men! The question is: Which one is she going to choose? Olivia - I guess it's Olivia Griffin now - is back from her honeymoon, and her mother, Charlotte (who's in her mid-70s at least), seems to have a man in her life, too. I'm not sure Olivia's too pleased.
There's lots of other gossip I could tell you. Come by for a cup of tea and one of my blueberry muffins and we'll talk.
Peggy

fruitless
The blurb suggested a suspense / mystery romance. I found the story boring to the point I kept zoning out. It is the first crime I have ever read where I have very quickly lost the will to find out who, how or why. From what I managed to stay tuned in for there was romance and the sadness of a lost child affecting a marriage. I found it took energy without giving much back. I gave up on it.

Moving Right Along in Cedar Point
I'm sticking with the series and still love the folks in Cedar Cove. Glad to say the murder gets solved, and not how you might expect . . . I sew and cook and listen . . . and ponder the goings on . . . Ready for book 5 . . .

Longing for a better narrator
Storyline is interesting. Characters are well rounded. Enjoy the variety of ages of the characters.
The narrator is stiff, formal, and over enunciates. She is unable to create believable voices, especially men.

Whatever
(As posted in Goodreads)
Ehhh, not my cup of tea, and way too much nonsense filler. Far too many individual cases and stories that didn't add anything to the major story. It really wasn't really made clear what was trying to be solved anyway. I suppose that that might've been "part of the charm", but it really just made the whole thing kind of annoying…

Nice story
Was a good story. A lot of repetition though in describing the past books and storylines.
