What a brilliant storyline, full of twists and turns that kept me hooked throughout!

Cora has had a really short and cruel life at the hands of pimps, living in constant fear and having known very little kindness. Then Penn comes along, a man with his own baggage and struggles, but one of the few people in her life to show her genuine kindness.

Their story was emotional, gripping and full of unexpected twists. I was completely invested in finding out how everything would unfold.

The narrators were absolutely brilliant, bringing the characters and their emotions to life and making this audiobook even more enjoyable.

A gripping, emotional listen that I would highly recommend!

The Truth About Lies is so cleverly written, it melds the past and present seamlessly as the plot unfolds and secrets are revealed. It’s dark and gritty with exciting twists and turns.
Penn and Cora are broken characters who live with their demons day in and day out, but they have an inner strength that makes them fierce and protective when it comes to the people they care about.
I can’t express how much I loved this book. It’s so much more than what I was expecting. The narrators brought the characters to life. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to start book 2!

I won't lie I went into this book thinking I wasn't going to finish it or it was just going to be on in the background but I was hooked from start to finish. It's not my usual kind of book either. I felt all of Cora's emotions, I laughed, I felt her broken heart and even cried with her! In the words of the great Uncle Roger "eeeeemotinal damage" was my experience with this book!

A great read with excellent depth, pace and narration. I was drawn in by the characters and love the twist at the end even though you knew something was coming. One to the second book.
