The story took me back to a time of ‘Old Fashioned Values’ & appreciations of yester-year, with manners/ etiquette! I enjoyed it’s simplicity & have bought the set so can continue to return to a time of grace, contentment, & happiness without the weight of today’s
‘Must have’ attitudes & Consumerism.

Lovely storyline from start to finish, some sad parts but that’s life even today. Quite nostalgic.

The stories are a bit predictable in the ‘Harpers’ series but no less enjoyable for that. All the characters are likeable and I enjoy going through their lives with them. A bit of detail can sometimes be missing and the narrator very occasionally gets lost with her character voices but these are minor. If you like a gentle storyline and enjoyable characters then give Harpers a go.
