I did enjoy the story as a whole, not what I expected.

No spoilers.

Abnett is the best 40k author by some distance but the dry perfectionist world of the space marine is not where he flourishes. Ultimately still very listenable it doesn't reach the heights of his other work.

Very Good for 40k but below par for Abnett

This was my first boom in the 40k universe. Choosing the first book within the lore isn't very easy with such a vast amount. However, I found this on the daily deals and decided to take the leap, thoroughly enjoyed it, and was a great book to start with. Definitely recommend!

Great entry to 40k universe

A very good story and it's nice to hear about the not so well known Chapters of space marines for a change.
These are a very interesting chapter with deep traditions and a structure based off the Ancient Greeks.

Highly recommend this book.

Awesome listening.

One of the most enjoyable 40k books I’ve read. Great characters and gives a real feel for the nature of the chapter.
