An unsettling collection of full-cast dramas from the long-running BBC Radio 4 horror series.

Throughout five series of Fear on 4 from 1988-1997, Edward de Souza was The Man in Black, a sinister raconteur who introduced a weekly half-hour of terror and suspense. Here, he welcomes us to his house of horrors as he presents thirteen terrifying tales that will make your flesh crawl.

The Snowman Killing by J C W Brook
Green and Pleasant by Bert Coules
Survival by John Wyndham
Soul Searching by Martyn Wade

I listened to these when they were first on the radio and remembered them fondly. I didn't expect I'd enjoy them as much as I have. I found the stories are creepy and interesting (if slightly too many hysterical women) and I've since even re-listened.

All the voice actors or great, but the kids voices can become grating - but maybe that's intentional.

A radio 4 collection in the vein of twilight zone. it's a mixed bag. Performances are pretty good though.

A time killer that I would have enjoyed listening on the radio to ease the journey time.... Some better than others none particularly scary or chilling..... Like listening to episodes of the old twilight zone TV episodes just maybe not as engaging.
Good narration and drama in the main but glad it was a two for one as I would have felt cheated...
