I was aware of the 5 love languages before this book but wanted to see how they translate to a single person without a romantic relationship.

I did feel as if the examples of each language was still very focused on couples. There were just 2 chapters at the end that were more relevant.

It’s not hugely different from the original book so would probably just stick with the original.

My book version was also not the same as the audiobook so some names and stories were different.

My sister recommended this to me & it didn't disappoint. It's very interesting to see how childhood experiences relate to how we receive & give love. I very much recommend this book whether you are single or in a relationship as the advice can be applied to friends, colleagues as well as romantic partners.

Great insight

I had just read the original "The Five Languages" and picked this up as a recommendation from it, as I am single. It mostly focused on dating, getting married and parenting relationships, neither of which is related to me. There were 2 portions that were relevant, the working with colleagues and with parents and siblings. But the rest I found that it focused on the love between romantic partners, which I had read in the original.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good book, just has a misleading title.
