I've never been a fan of the Royals in any shape or form but up till now it's been a vague, uninformed opinion. Now that I have these new insights and information provided by this book I find them an appallingly greedy, selfish, vain and dangerously undemocratic institution.

This stuff should be taught at schools. The sooner we become a republic the better. The cringing sycophancy of politicians and the many other vested interests towards the Royals is nauseating. An excellent audiobook, well narrated. Hard to stop listening. Will definitely seek out more on this topic and more by this author.

Well written and excellently narrated. It is extremely topical especially in the current predicament Britain finds itself in post Brexit and in the midst of a pandemic. Is this royal family, placed where it is by accident of birth, still relevant, necessary, and financially affordable?

Excellent book by Norman Baker. David Vickery is the perfect narrator for the subject.

This book should be required reading or listening for everybody. I knew the royal family were fleecing us blind but had no idea as to the extent. I also had no idea just how much they can bend acts of parliament to suit themselves before they are passed.

It's time for them to go!

An illuminating book that should be on the National Curriculum. Norman Baker slices through the absurdity of this outrageously outmoded reign of Windsor with wit and precision. I object to paying taxes for the likes of Andrew and his daughters (along with the rest of them) to live a pointless high life of benefit to them alone. A rational person, I would like my taxes to pay for services for everybody. They really must think we are idiots.
