An enjoyable story but one narrator really over-egged her part horribly! I cringed at times.

Over-acted

I have loved EVERY SINGLE one of her books!!!! The best author ever. She has a wonderful way of writing and excellent story lines.

Lisa Jewell is the best author

If I hadn’t enjoyed the story so much, I would have returned this, due entirely to the hammy “overacting” of the Arlette narrator. Very, very irritating. If you can get past this, you’ll enjoy the book.

Wind your neck in Arlette narrator

And so we’ll performed by both actors.

Really pulled you in to the hedonist post WWI era - you could feel and smell it all.

My only complaint was the pronunciation of Berwick Street! It’s - not Bur-wick but Ber-ick! This made me twitch every time I heard it! X

Beautiful story
